Our Focus is Still the 7-Year Tribulation Period
Read Revelation 17:1-9
Read Revelation 17:1 says:
“And there came one of the seven angels which had the seven vials, and talked with me, saying unto me, Come hither; I will shew unto thee the judgment of the great whore that sitteth upon many waters:”
Verse 5 says:
“And upon her forehead was a name written, MYSTERY, BABYLON THE GREAT, THE MOTHER OF HARLOTS AND ABOMINATIONS OF THE EARTH.”
Notice v. 9:
“And here is the mind which hath wisdom. The seven heads are seven mountains, on which the woman sitteth.”
Who or what is Babylon the Great, the Mother of Harlots?
Some believe Babylon is the Roman Catholic Church.
Some believe Babylon is the Roman Catholic Church. Rome has been called the city of seven hills.
Jerusalem, Constantinople, Brussels, Athens, Istanbul, Prague, Moscow, Melbourne, Rio de Janeiro, San Francisco, Los Angeles, Washington DC, Tokyo, Amman and many other cities were also built upon seven hills.
Is Babylon a country, an empire, or a system? Is it symbolic or literal? Is it religious, commercial, or political?
The Jamison-Fausset-Brown Commentary says:
“The seven universal God opposed monarchies are Egypt (the first world power which came into collision with God's people,) Assyria, Babylon, Greece, Medo-Persia, Rome, the Germanic-Slavonic empire.”
Revelation 17:15-18 says:
15 “And he saith unto me, The waters which thou sawest, where the whore sitteth, are peoples, and multitudes, and nations, and tongues.”
16 “And the ten horns which thou sawest upon the beast, these shall hate the whore, and shall make her desolate and naked, and shall eat her flesh, and burn her with fire.”
17 “For God hath put in their hearts to fulfil his will, and to agree, and give their kingdom unto the beast, until the words of God shall be fulfilled.”
18 “And the woman which thou sawest is that great city, which reigneth over the kings of the earth.”
Question
Is that the city that reigned over the earth at the time this was written (Rome), or the city that will be ruling over the kings of the earth during the Tribulation Period?
Could Washington, D.C. be the city ruling at that time?
Mystery Babylon:
Will rule over the antichrist and his ten-kingdom power. Will dictate what the antichrist can and cannot do for the first part of the tribulation period. Has given the beast and the ten nations
their power, but remains very much in control. This will change toward the middle of the tribulation period.
Who is the Ten Kingdom Power?
Read Daniel 2:31-45.
Revelation 17:12 says:
“And the ten horns which thou sawest are ten kings, which have received no kingdom as yet; but receive power as kings one hour with the beast.”
Many believe this will be a revived Roman Empire.
Could it be the European Union?
The E.U. now has a single monetary system (currency), which is the first time this has happened since the collapse of the Roman Empire many centuries ago.
Here we have a woman riding the "Bull." Her name is "Europa" and she had the continent of Europe named after her. The coin has her riding over many waters.

The E.U. is building an impressive military force, in an attempt to replace NATO and the United States in the "defense" of Europe.
The E.U. is actively engaged in international affairs, in an attempt to replace American diplomacy and influence.
Matthew 24:37 says:
“But as the days of Noe (Noah) were, so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.”
